Bunker Atlas

BunkerAtlas is a global, open-source platform documenting military bunkers and fortifications worldwide. The platform pairs narrative place descriptions with structured data sheets — covering attributes like build year, armament, crew capacity, concrete volume, and room-level layout — alongside community workflows for edit suggestions and reporting. A live 'Recent Edits' feed reflects continuous updates from contributors across dozens of countries, and a searchable database interface renders tens of thousands of georeferenced locations on a map. I was responsible for the full brand identity, visual system, and the custom-built Astro web experience designed to serve history enthusiasts, researchers, and open-data contributors at scale.
