Real-time gas and diesel prices from more than 1,800 Danish gas stations, gathered on an interactive map with price alerts and route calculation.

Liter.dk

About the project

Liter.dk collects fuel prices from more than 1,800 Danish gas stations and makes them useful at the exact moment a driver needs them. The platform shows current prices for 95 octane gasoline, diesel, 98/100 octane and HVO100, national averages, price history and a ranking of the cheapest stations nearby.

I handled the entire product from idea to operation: brand identity, user interface and the technical platform. On the data side, that includes continuously collecting and normalizing prices across chains and independent stations, along with geodata for every location, so prices can always be put in relation to the user’s position or postal code.

On top of the data layer, I built the tools that make price differences tangible: an interactive map, price alerts that notify users when prices drop, route planning with calculated fuel costs, and fuel consumption calculators. The frontend is built in Next.js with a focus on fast loading on mobile, where most lookups happen.
