Forgotten Armenian Factory

Forgotten Armenian Factory

Deep within the industrial outskirts lies a forgotten factory — a silent monument to the Soviet Union’s once relentless rhythm of production. Rusted machinery, faded propaganda, and walls marked by decades of labor tell the story of a place left behind by time.

The Soviet Textile Factory

The Soviet Textile Factory

Hidden on the outskirts of a quiet town stands the remains of a Soviet-era sewing factory — once filled with the hum of machines and fabric dust in the air. Now, only silence and the soft echo of footsteps remain. This short video captures the haunting calm of the abandoned halls, paired with the song “Country of Flowers”, sung in Georgian and Russian. Its melancholic lyrics, translated into English, speak of love, distance, and the beauty of fleeting moments — a fitting reflection of the place itself. A glimpse into what time leaves behind — both in music and in walls.

Fort Breendonk

Fort Breendonk

During World War II, Fort Breendonk, originally built as a military stronghold near Antwerp, was taken over by the Nazis and converted into a prison and transit camp. The site became infamous for its harsh conditions, forced labor, and brutal treatment of inmates. Thousands of prisoners—political opponents, resistance fighters, Jews, and other targeted groups—were held there, with many eventually deported to larger concentration camps in Germany and Poland. Though smaller in scale than the major camps, Breendonk’s cruelty left a deep scar on Belgian history. Today, it stands preserved as a national memorial to commemorate the victims and to bear witness to the crimes committed there.
